OUR LENS / THE REASON BEHIND THE RECOMMENDATION
Good judgment.
Open evidence.
A creator is more than a metric. A useful recommendation should show its work.
What this index is.
Best Influencers is an independent discovery and casting workspace by Rogue Dynamics. This first edition includes 1111 researched profiles across 26 creative disciplines. It is a starting point for casting, not a definitive ranking of creative talent.
Evidence over invented certainty.
Profiles link to official creator sources or clearly labeled Wikidata structured records. Curated biographies summarize official sources. Wikidata-listed profiles use its public YouTuber occupation, Instagram identifier, citizenship, and linked Wikimedia page count. Their topic labels are derived from occupational words, not a review of recent videos. These records are not individually verified. The source date records retrieval or editorial review, as labeled; it does not imply continuous monitoring.
We do not publish unverified follower counts, engagement rates, audience demographics, creator fees, or availability. Country information is labeled by its basis: confirmed location or Wikidata citizenship. Citizenship does not establish current residence. Unknown geography remains unconfirmed. Portraits are credited through the linked official sources.
How editorial placements work.
The Global and US leaderboards each publish 500 profiles from the eligible database, with overlap between lists. US eligibility requires sourced US location or Wikidata US citizenship; audience geography is never used. Category lists show their actual counts.
These are publisher-selected editorial lists, not independent popularity or performance rankings. CJ Johnson is the founder of Rogue Dynamics and Mannie Williams is its Creative Director. They are preferred editorial picks in documented specialties. Preferred picks appear first. Remaining records are ordered by the number of linked Wikimedia project pages (Wikidata sitelinks), with alphabetical ties. This measures Wikimedia coverage, not popularity, audience size, engagement, or quality. Missing coverage is ordered after recorded coverage. Category ranks apply only to the profiles currently listed in that category. Affiliation labels appear beside their placements.
Wikidata structured facts are available under CC0. The import selects human YouTubers with a single valid Instagram identifier, excludes ambiguous/shared identifiers and records with a recorded death, and excludes ended or deprecated Instagram statements. Missing or outdated facts can still exist; use the linked entity to inspect or correct them. No current follower counts are inferred.
How matching works.
The casting studio compares your brief with curated creator topics. It uses an open, deterministic topic model. It is not a live web search or a generative AI model.
| Signal | Contribution |
|---|---|
| Recognized creative category | 60 points |
| Unique normalized topic overlap | 10 points per term, up to 40 |
| Publisher preference | 8 ordering points for affiliated picks with at least 40 topic points |
| Region filter | Exact creator-region filter |
Topic terms use lowercase text and basic plural normalization. Explicit exclusion clauses and excluded topics remove matching categories or terms. Every comma-separated required topic must occur in the curated description or tags. This is a limited rule-based parser, so review the detected exclusions and results.
Scores describe topic alignment only. They are not quality rankings, probability estimates, or performance predictions. No matches means we lack supporting evidence in this edition. We do not invent a recommendation to fill the page.
A workflow with a finish line.
Shortlist creators, compare their published work, save a campaign, model your budget, draft outreach, record casting decisions, download a client presentation, and record results. Outreach remains editable and is never sent automatically. Budget outputs use your assumptions and are not creator quotes.
What comes next.
Our next data priority is creator-submitted portfolios and confirmed campaign terms, followed by permissioned performance reporting. The index will grow as evidence improves. Editorial preference changes recommendation order but not the displayed topic-fit score. It never overrides category, region, required-topic, or exclusion filters.
Your work stays yours.
The device shortlist is stored in your browser. Saved campaigns and suggestions use your signed-in ChatGPT identity and are stored in this site’s database. Campaign API access is restricted to the account that created each record. Campaign notes are not shared publicly. Presentation downloads omit private notes, results, and passed creators. Client-facing rationale and deliverables are included; quotes and availability are optional. You can delete a saved campaign in its Brief tab and clear device shortlist items individually.
Outreach drafts stay in the current page unless you copy or download them. This edition has no advertising trackers and no model-provider API calls. Official-source links open the creator’s own website.
Corrections & submissions.
Use the submission form for new creators or factual corrections. Suggestions are held for editorial review. For a correction, include the creator name, corrected fact, and primary-source URL.
